Rio School District aims to provide safe learning environments that support every child developing and learning to their fullest potential.

About Rio del Mar

Since we opened our doors in fall 2006, Rio del Mar Elementary School’s staff, students, parents and the surrounding community have collaborated to ensure that our students move on to higher education and are empowered to reach their full potential. As one of the newest schools in the district, we offer the latest technology: smart boards, laptop carts and wireless Internet. The Rio del Mar Dolphins are encouraged to be self-motivated, independent thinkers, so we give them a multitude of academic and extracurricular activities to choose from and a variety of opportunities for enrichment.

Parent Involvement at Rio del Mar

We would like to welcome all new and returning parents and students for the new school year. We hope you will join us as we work together with our teachers and staff to support the growth and development of students here on campus. We encourage you to participate in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), School Site Council (SSC), English Language Acquisition Committee (ELAC), and other site committees and projects. Please contact the school office for additional information. Meeting dates will be posted on the monthly newsletter/calendar. All parents are welcome to attend. By working together, we can help provide our students with a quality education and a positive and safe environment.

Principal's Message

Since 2006 Rio del Mar has educated the children of our community to become productive citizens. As a PeaceBuilder school, we encourage students to use positive behavior to develop a community of successful learners who work together to increase academic achievement. Our dedicated staff provides quality 21st Century learning experiences in a safe and nurturing environment where academic achievement is a top priority. Parents are a key component to the success of their child’s education, and therefore, we provide many opportunities for parents to be involved in school activities, committees, and groups. We encourage you to be part of your child’s educational experience.
